I was actually thinking there wouldn't be much time before I left for any tulip pictures, but look here! They will be just perfect for Tulip Festival this year. They are just coming in and, as usual, they are stunning! These are taken all over town.

I love taking tulip photos. There is one whole bed of them blooming beautifully near the house. There are plenty more to anticipate!

May Days

Spring smells that I love: Dirt. lily of the valley. Rhubarb baking in the oven bratwurst on the air from the downtown meat market. the first grass that's been mown. lilacs. I will miss tulip festival this year, but not the tulips.

Everyone is out today. On bikes, walking, pushing strollers, walking their dogs, running, gathering to talk. Hooray for MAY!
