New Wardrobe

Now this is a fun part of summer: getting into that new wardrobe. Well, I don't mean that I've gone out and bought new clothes, though that would be my idea of fun. And I don't just mean that I've pulled the summer clothes out of storage, though I have done that. I mean I'm not wearing the same old BIG things from last summer. I've dropped 20#'s and I can now wear (again) a whole size smaller than what I was wearing last summer. I actually saved that smaller size and have been able to pull them all out of their hiding places and start wearing them again. They aren't even that out of style yet.
When I was in Italy the clothes that I took were waaay too big even though I'd just bought them a few weeks before. That felt good. If you look at any pictures of me in Italy, any of the pants that I had on were really about to fall off if you can believe it. With all the walking we did over there I actually lost 6 pounds. Well, for me, it's 20# more to go. I've been told that I need to quit this dieting thing. True. I just need to eat healthy all the time. Enough with eating too much ice cream. I'm so weak.

Father's Day

We spent our Sunday with the "My 3 Sons" group of boys. Here they are from oldest to youngest. Despite the rain, and having to stay inside for the afternoon, we enjoyed our Father's Day visit. Isaiah had made granola for grandpa K. He's turning into a chef and learning to ride his bike with no training wheels. When that happens, watch out for some camping and bike riding with grandma and grandpa. Phinehas has had some successess too, as in:He's Potty Trained. Now that's an accomplishment worth bragging about! (at least you're not embarrassed by it when you're just 2.7) and that 3rd little one? Well, so far he's letting his brothers do all the work. I'm sure that won't last too long. Older brothers tend to make slaves out of the littlest (as I recall from experience..) But his cuteness sure makes up for his lack of work!
