Words from the Library

Funny day. Signing people on and off of computers has always been a bit of pain, necessary, but time consuming. Anyway, today, this 'guy' needs to use the computer, but before he is signed on he asks "I was wondering if the library had a credit card I might be able to use for the stuff I need to do on the computer." I did a double take over that one. "What? Use the LIBRARY credit card?" "Yup." That's what he needed. I'm still shaking my head over that one.
So, how about you guys? I could use a credit card for some of the stuff I'm doing, too.

Farmer's Market

Saturday morning was our trip to the Farmer's Market. I love Lincoln's cause it's got so much to offer. Fresh vegetables galore. We bought beans and corn for ourselves but the tomatoes were in abundance, squashes and potatoes and lettuce....

There are homemade soups and breads, rolls, goat meat, cheeses and sausages,

Jewelery, garden decorations, artwork, purses, and flowers!

The fire department brings in a fire truck and the kids get to sit in it. Isaiah's favorite..

The morning was cool and lovely.

Family Time

Friday we visited the Henry Doorly Zoo. It was a perfect day. Last year we roasted in the July Sun. This year, if you'll note, I'm wearing a sweatshirt. The day in the end was the best we've had in the 4 times we've done this! We even went home not totally ragged out! Though there wasn't that much energy left..
Can you believe that we enjoy being together? We do lots of laughing especially when we do our annual contests. (at least I think they've been annual) This year Jon had a quiz about the Princess Bride for us. There were even prizes. I only got 4 out of 20 right. Too bad I didn't have more time to study. Oh well, who needs Starbucks?
