To the doc to the doc to the doc doc doc...tor

While I have been to the doctor for a variety of reasons over the past couple years, i.e. colds, medicine refills, colonoscopy, carpal tunnel.... I haven't actually gone for a physical. That is, letting them draw and exam my blood, my body, my ..... well, you've been there and done that, so you know what i mean. I've had a problem using the doctors in Orange City, not because of their qualifications but because I actually know them. You know what I mean. I know their families, their first names, where their houses are, and some of them even go to church with me. Agh! That is funny. Why am I so squeamish about letting some guy that is my next door neighbor do the exam? That is waaaaa y out of my comfort zone. I would much rather speculate about the details of a doctor's life. This time, I pointed my finger at a name and went with that. This worked out ok. But it is "fun" to complain about aches and pains to my heart's content. Ah the joys of getting older. The results, though-blood pressure 101/60, cholesterol 240 with HDL at 70 and LDL at 131, good results I guess. No sinus infection, rotator cuff problems, Hepatitis A booster, a mamogram scheduled, and the reason I went in the first place- (besides a friend who prodded and poked me) I got my prescription refilled! Woo Hoo! Hopefully I can go for a whole year or so without going back.
