This was my first time I ever got to do anything as fun as this...with Isaiah! It was Disney on Ice in Sioux City. There was a crowd let me tell you. But that didn't keep us from having all kinds of fun. These pictures only show a sampling. I didn't get in the whales and sharks and Incredibles and Pinocchio, Simba and Naala, Bella, Ariel and all the other princesses. Isaiah didn't really know any of them, except batman (really the incredibles) and he recognized the fish and the whale. But the action was fast, the lighting, the smoke, the skaters, the Popcorn! The Lemonade! the music. Even using the bathroom was an adventure. It will be even as much fun for the next two I hope.

Humble Pie or Crow?
So here's a question for you. Sounds like one from one of my "queston games". Believe me I've tried both of these, but here goes: If a person has to consume one of these, which one do you think sounds like it would be better? Crow sounds pretty nasty. You know, tough, dry, feathery, gamy...ugh. I think I'd avoid that one if it's possible. Unfortunately, with my opinons and propensity for announcing same I have had to sample crow waaaa y too many times. Humble pie actually sounds a bit tastier. Really. I like pie pretty well. How bad could it be? .... It hurts the stomach for days. Sticks in the throat. But, I've heard that Humble pie is acutally good for you. Once you've tried it anyway, you'll want to be more careful with your words, with your actions, with your hurtful behavior so in that way it's probably a good thing. Crow on the other hand...

what's red, has 4 new wheels, leather interior, and gets 25-28 mpg?Did you guess we finally got a new (to us)car! Woo Hoo! I feel pretty low to the ground as I drive along in my automobile, but the gas mileage should be good. If the roads stay ice/snowless I will dirve it regularly. Otherwise there's still the pick up with its 4 wheel drive. Haven't driven a car in nearly 4 years! Wow. We won't have to fiddle with what to do if the two of us actually need to drive a vehicle apiece.. The convenience is almost to much to bear.

Meetings,ICN,and other Library Fun

Here's one for you: Erate.
Do you remember that I did this for libraries for a whole year?
SLD,BEAR,form 470,472,480..eeek
What brought this on you might ask? I'm actually sitting in an e rate meeting re learning the ins and outs of having someone else file it for me. Believe me, you don't really want to know any more about this than absolutely necessary. It's a GOVERNMENT program. That's enough said, don't you think? They can make anything complicated and difficult! To boot, I have to actually go to a meeting about it. Wow!

Monday on the job
It's Monday, But Friday is coming! It's amazing how quickly the days fly by. There is so much for me to think about these days. I am so surprised when all of a sudden the whole day is gone...sometimes the whole week. I have a lot to get done, but some days I feel better about it than others. Everything is all of a sudden so time consuming. I got the big state report done today, and the board packets are ready for our meeting tomorrow. I have high hopes for that. I know you don't just want a summary of my day. there should be more about people and me seeing them and hearing their stories and letting God be at work and me following along with that. But today was one of those days when I didn't get out of my chair too much. Even eating an apple was too time consuming. That's not good. People first. People first. People first.

Birthday Boy

We Got to join Isaiah for his birthday this weekend. He had fun. After all what could be more fun than a day that centers totally on you! He got to pick his meals, have a cupcake for breakfast and have his favorite people in all the world join him to celebrate him! Oh, and did I mention the presents?! That was a pretty fun part of the day, too! He was very appreciative of the paper especially. And I was amazed at how much he loved underwear! Who could believe that underwear would be a hit? Not the biggest hit though. That was reserved for the nerf ring guns. Don't envy Kristin on that one. And coming down from the sugar high today? I wonder how that went? Thanks, Isaiah for letting us celebrate with you. It was great fun.
